The Ajilesoro Foundation, on Thursday, June 19th, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Prof. John Okeniyi, where it reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the hospital’s emergency building project.
The foundation, established by the Ajilesoro family, has long been known for its impactful community interventions in Ile-Ife and across the South West, particularly in the areas of healthcare, education, and youth development.
In his remarks, Prof. Okeniyi appreciated the foundation for its generous initiative and noted that “God has made the Ajilesoro family a star to reckon with in Ile-Ife and the South West at large.” He further stated that the family’s continued commitment to humanitarian causes, especially in healthcare, is not only commendable but also inspiring. “Their support for the emergency building project is a testament to their vision for a healthier society, and we are proud to be beneficiaries of their goodwill,” he added.

The President of the foundation, Comrade Olatunde Sanni, said the project is part of the group’s corporate social responsibility and its mission to give back to society. “We are doing this not just for Ile-Ife, but for all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or background,” he stated, assuring that the project would be completed by God’s grace.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Babatunde Omisode, President of Egbe Omo Ife, commended the foundation, describing the project as a historic intervention that all Ife indigenes would be proud of.

The Director of Administration at OAUTHC, Dr. Ayodeji Bobade, thanked the foundation on behalf of the hospital’s management, noting that the emergency building would significantly improve healthcare delivery.
