CMD Presents Certificates to Newly Recruited Fire Corps Members

As part of the induction and training program for newly recruited members of the Fire Corps Service, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, Prof. John Okeniyi, presented certificates of completion to 40 participants on Friday, June 20, 2025.

In his address, Prof. Okeniyi commended the recruits for successfully completing the training and urged them to carry out their duties with diligence, professionalism, and urgency—especially in response to emergency situations. He emphasized the importance of adaptability in the face of escalating emergencies and encouraged them to communicate with hospital management whenever they encounter challenges that could hinder their performance.

Also speaking at the event, the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Prof. Akinwunmi Komolafe, congratulated the fire corps members on their achievement. He advised them to value their certificates, noting that the training could serve as a stepping stone to greater opportunities in their careers.

Other notable individuals present at the event included the Director of Administration, Dr. Ayodeji Bobade, and the Head of General Administration, Mr. Abiodun Oyamakinde.
