The outreach, which climaxed the three-day event held at the OAUTHC Geriatric Centre, Ilesa, witnessed a massive turnout of the elderly who were promptly attended to by professionals.
In his welcome address, the Physician-in-Charge (PIC) of the Centre, Dr Oladipupo Fakoya, noted that in her one year of existence, the centre, which started with an outpatient service that ran morning and afternoon clinics with eight members of staff, now has over a hundred members of staff, and runs 24-hours services.
Dr Fakoya further said the centre now has eight Clinical Service Units that are fully functional.
In addition to the Outpatient Clinic, the PIC disclosed that the Centre has started ward admissions and theatre procedures, bi-weekly Ophthalmology clinics, daily Dental services, Dietetic services, Physiotherapy services and Laboratory services.
In his anniversary address, the Acting Chief Medical Director, OAUTHC, Dr Afolabi Owojuyigbe, appreciated the members of staff for their commitment and service.
He said he was very impressed by the milestone achievements recorded by the Centre, in just a year.
