OAUTHC Finance and Accounts Department Honours 15 Retirees in Grand Style

The Finance and Accounts Department of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, on Thursday, 24th April 2025, held a grand retirement ceremony in honour of 15 distinguished members of the department at the Florence Nightingale Hall, OAUTHC, Ile-Ife.

The glamorous event was graced by the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of OAUTHC, Prof. John Okeniyi, who in his address commended the retirees for their years of dedicated service and immense contributions to the growth and development of the hospital. He noted that the department is one of those recently commended for outstanding compliance with the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) at OAUTHC. He prayed for the retirees, wishing them continued excellence and good health in their post-service lives.

Also speaking at the event, the Director of the Finance and Accounts Department, Mrs. Foluke Fola-Alao, expressed her gratitude to God for the successful celebration, which she noted had been long overdue. She acknowledged the profound impact of the retirees on the department and the hospital at large, stating that their absence will be deeply felt. She thanked them for their unwavering support since her assumption of office and bid them farewell, wishing them long life and sound health.

The retirees honoured at the event are:

Dr. Philip Odewole, Late Mr. Adebayo Ogunniyi, Mr. Aremu Ayanbimpe, Mr. Johnson Odediran, Mr. Wahab Balogun, Mr. Isaac Ogundijo, Mr. Oluwafemi Adetoogun, Mr. Lawrence Ewah, Mrs. Olufunmike Oluwasanmi, Mrs. Morenike Yinusa, Mr. Olakanmi Eluyefa, Mr. Benjamin Owojori, Mr. Enenezer Arayela, Mr. Muraina Akintilebo, and Mrs. Comfort Iyiola.

The event ended on a joyful note with the presentation of gifts to the retirees, who in turn expressed heartfelt appreciation to the department and hospital management for the honour and recognition accorded to them.
