Olabiyi Adewole Bows Out of Service in Grand Style

The Ife Indigene Association of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, hosted a grand retirement ceremony in honour of Mr. Olarinmade Olabiyi Adewole, the former Unit Administrator of the Ife Hospital Unit and outgoing President of the Ife Indigenes Association. The event, held at the hospital’s mini-auditorium, attracted dignitaries, family members, colleagues, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate his illustrious career and legacy of service.

In his goodwill message, the Chief Medical Director, Professor John Okeniyi, lauded Mr. Adewole’s unwavering commitment, describing him as a man of diligence and dedication. He congratulated the celebrant on the successful conclusion of his career, emphasizing the privilege and fulfillment of rendering selfless service before transitioning into retirement.

Echoing similar sentiments, the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, Professor Eniola Eziyi, extolled Mr. Adewole’s outstanding contributions to the institution. She commended his professionalism and prayed for continued success in his post-retirement endeavours. Mr. Lateef Adeyeni, Chairman of the Senior Staff Association, praised the celebrant’s passion for teamwork and his instrumental role in advancing the hospital’s mission.

The Father of the Day, Professor Victor Adetiloye, a former Chief Medical Director, underscored the significance of retirement as a milestone that marks the completion of active service to both the nation and humanity. He celebrated Mr. Adewole’s exemplary leadership and urged others to leave behind a legacy of dedication and goodwill, emphasizing that true impact is measured by the positive footprints left behind.

In an emotional response, Mr. Adewole expressed profound gratitude to all in attendance, attributing his successful career to divine grace and the unwavering support of colleagues. He reflected on the challenges he faced as Unit Administrator and acknowledged the teamwork and camaraderie that made his journey fulfilling.
