US Medical Team Seeks Partnership with OAUTHC for Collaborative Mission

In preparation for their medical and surgical mission in 2025, a team of Nigerian medical professionals from the United States has arrived in Nigeria to establish a collaborative partnership with the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife, aiming to provide quality and charitable medical and surgical services to the community.

Dr. Kemi Ogunwusi, the spokesperson for the medical team states that the team’s visit aims to assess the hospital’s facilities and identify areas where they can complement and enhance the existing infrastructure. She announced that they are actively working to introduce cutting-edge technology in surgical procedures and exchange knowledge with local medical professionals to adopt international best practices.

Prof. Josephine Eniola Eziyi, Chairman of OAUTHC’S  Medical Advisory Committee, welcomed the team on behalf of the Management and assured them of the hospital’s full support in their collaborative efforts to improve healthcare service delivery.

Dr. Akinwunmi Komolafe, Deputy Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, expressed the

readiness of OAUTHC’s medical professionals to learn and adopt new surgical technologies from the United States, emphasizing their commitment to enhancing healthcare services.

A key figure in directing the attention of the team to OAUTHC, Ile-Ife, Osun state, Mrs Elizabeth Babalola a Deputy Director of Nursing Services in charge of the Phase IV unit of the hospital, commended the team’s dedication to collaboration and their efforts to bring relief to patients in the community. Mrs Babalola led the team on a tour of the hospital’s Main Theater, where they were received by Mr Lateef Adeyeni, a Deputy Director of Nursing Services in charge of the Main Theater, for a visibility assessment.
