Dear Associates, Patients, Staff, and the entire Christian Community of the OAUTHC,

As we commence the sacred journey of Lent, I, on behalf of the Top Management of the Institution extend our sincerest greetings and prayers to us all.

This period of reflection, repentance, and rejuvenation beckons us to draw closer to one another and our faith.

Lent is a season for introspection and spiritual advancement, allowing us to walk in the footsteps of Christ with humility and grace.

It is a 40-day period characterized by prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, inviting us to deepen our connection with God and embrace the virtues of compassion, mercy, and love.

In the medical realm, we have witnessed the profound influence of healing and the resilience of the human spirit.

During this Lenten season, let us be reminded of God’s divine healing prowess, as we attempt to help restore the ailing and provide solace and hope to the weary.

As we attend to our patients and customers, and uphold one another, let us endeavour to embody the principles of our faith. Let us extend our kindness, patience, and empathy to those in need, and let our deeds mirror the love and compassion that Christ bestows.

Notably, at this juncture, members of our Muslim community are observing Ramadan, the Holy Month dedicated to fasting, prayer, and contemplation.

Therefore, I implore all staff to offer their support, tolerance, and collaboration to one another and our clients in mutual respect and understanding, honouring the diverse faiths that enrich our community.

I encourage us to take this time to renew our faith, seek forgiveness, and extend helping hands to those around us.

Let us unite as a community, in renewed devotion and commitment to serving others, especially during this sacred season and beyond.

Those fasting or contemplating it are advised to use our facilities for their health assessments and medical guidance.

May this Lenten journey bring us peace, strength, and spiritual growth. May it be a time of transformation and renewal, leading us to the joyous celebration of Easter.

With heartfelt blessings,
