Oluwatoyin Amusan Retires in Grand Style

The Management and entire staff of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, celebrated the retirement of the esteemed Director of the Health Information Management Department, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Bolaji Amusan. The occasion, which also marked her 60th birthday, was held in grand style at the Mini Auditorium on Friday 11th July, 2025.

In his address, the Chief Medical Director of OAUTHC, Prof. John Okeniyi, expressed gratitude to God for Mrs. Amusan’s life and remarkable career. He commended her for reaching such a distinguished milestone before retirement and prayed for her continued success and flourishing in the years ahead.

The Regional Head of the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN), Mrs. Olubukola Champion Afolayan, praised Mrs. Amusan’s exceptional service, describing her as a renowned and respected Health Information Manager in Nigeria. She noted that Mrs. Amusan’s contributions are highly recognized, not only within OAUTHC but also across the southwestern region.

Reflecting on her spiritual devotion, Rev. Razaq Akinwale, Regional Head of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, shared that Mrs. Amusan had also received national recognition for her impactful leadership as the Head of the Foursquare Women International (Akure Regional Axis).

Adding to the tributes, Mr. Akin Ibimiluwa, former Head of the Health Information Management Department, described Mrs. Amusan as a humble and inspiring mentor who diligently fulfilled her duties and set an excellent example for others.

The event concluded with the presentation of gifts, led by the Acting Head of Department, Mrs. Olaitan Ajayi, who described the celebrant as a dedicated director, a mentor to many, and a lover of peace whose leadership had significantly advanced the Health Information Management Department.
