Area Commander ACP Sola Ogunwale Visits OAUTHC to Strengthen Security Collaboration

The Area Commander, Ile-Ife Area Command Office Moore, ACP Sola Ogunwale, recently paid a courtesy visit to the management of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC). The visit focused on strengthening collaboration between law enforcement and healthcare providers, with an emphasis on enhancing security measures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors within the hospital environment.

During the meeting, ACP Ogunwale underscored the importance of adhering to lawful procedures when addressing security challenges. He stressed that a robust partnership with the police would bolster the hospital’s security framework. He assured the management of the Nigeria Police Force’s unwavering commitment to supporting the hospital in enforcing security protocols and maintaining a safe atmosphere.

The Chief Medical Director, Professor John Okeniyi, expressed his appreciation for the Area Commander’s visit, acknowledging the critical role of the Nigeria Police Force in addressing the security challenges faced by the institution. He reiterated that collaboration with law enforcement is indispensable in fostering a safe and secure environment for healthcare delivery.

The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to strengthen the existing partnership, ensuring that law enforcement and healthcare providers work closely to enhance safety and security at OAUTHC for the benefit of the entire community.
