The Hospital’s Management, led by the Chief Medical Director, Prof John Okeniyi, yesterday, Thursday in the hospital’s Boardroom played host to the outgoing Executive members of the Ife Indigenes Association (Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex Chapter) on a courtesy visit.
Prof Okeniyi, in his welcome remark, thanked the Association for the visit and solicited their continued cooperation, support, and collaboration towards the development of the hospital.

The Chief Medical Director reiterated his avowed commitment to his mandate to reposition the hospital to its rightful position amongst the comity of tertiary health institutions in Nigeria and beyond.
The consultant paediatric cardiologist said, “The hospital belongs to all of us, and that is why our doors are open to everyone with ideas that would transform the hospital into a hospital of our dreams that we would all be proud to associate with and call our own.”
Prof Okeniyi used the occasion to call on all sons and daughters of Ife to keep supporting the hospital through their individual and corporate social responsibilities.
In his remark, the outgoing Chairman of the Association, Mr. Olabiyi Adewole, thanked the CMD for finding time out of his busy schedule to receive them on short notice. He expressed the Association’s continued support of the hospital because “this is our own heritage.”

Mr Adewole, accompanied by other stalwarts of the Association, thanked the CMD for the yeoman’s job he is doing to reposition the hospital since his appointment as the helmsman of the hospital.
