OAUTHC Implements New FastCare e-Wallet Payment System

The Management of the hospital announced the implementation of the new FastCare e-Wallet system on Sunday 30th of April 2023.

The new system will enable patients to store money in a personalized e-Wallet within the hospital’s service system.

This money can then be used to make payments at any point of service in the hospital with no need for physical cash, ATM card, or even a bank apps. Here’s everything you need to know about the new e-wallet:

What exactly is this new e-Wallet Payment System?

The e-Wallet is a digital platform in the hospital’s service where patients can personally store funds linked directly to their profile in the hospital.

This means all payments that a patient would need to do within the hospital will be directly deducted from their personal e-wallet which would already be linked to their digital file in the hospital’s database.

It is a safe easy, fast billing/payment system that will eliminate the limitation of ATM card decline at the POS terminal, stressful cash exchange, etc.

How does it work?

When you have funded your e-Wallet by transferring from either your bank apps, an ATM, or any another payment method, your balance will be safely stored in your wallet.

At every point where you need to pay for services within the hospital, the bill of your invoice would be deducted from the balance in your e-Wallet which would be visible to the person handling the billing at every payment point.

Please note that deductions can not be done without your authorisation.

How Can I Get My e-Wallet?

Your e-Wallet will automatically be generated for you when you register at the hospital for the first time, or when you revisit.

You will be given a unique wallet ID. This ID is unique to you and will serve a similar purpose to your bank account number.

When you want to make a payment within the hospital, the biller would use your wallet ID to make
the deduction from your balance in the e-Wallet.

How Do I Fund My e-Wallet?

Your e-Wallet can be funded by making the transfer to it using your bank app or other preferred payment methods. An account detail will be provided for you to which you would make the transfer.

This would immediately reflect in your e-Wallet, after which you would easily make seamless transactions within the hospital.

Can I Withdraw My Money from My Wallet?

Definitely. A hospital card, similar to an ATM card, will be provided. You can use this to initiate the transfer from your e-Wallet to any other accounts of your choice.

Is my Money Safe in the e-Wallet?

Absolutely! Your fund is safe and secured. And you will have total access to it at every point.

This new payment system was designed with you in mind. We want you to have a great service experience.
