OAUTHC 50th Anniversary Games Kick Off with Wesley Guild Hospital’s 2–1 Win

The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) kicked off its 50th-anniversary sporting activities with a friendly football match on Monday, 15th September, 2025. The Wesley Guild Hospital Unit emerged victorious over the Ife Hospital Unit with a final score of 2–1.

The match, held at the Ife Hospital Unit football pitch, marked the inaugural event of the hospital’s golden jubilee sporting activities. It provided an opportunity for management and staff to come together in the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and celebration.

This opening fixture signaled the start of a series of events lined up to commemorate OAUTHC’s 50th anniversary, reflecting on its legacy and contributions to healthcare. The Wesley Guild Hospital Unit’s win set a lively and spirited tone for the festivities ahead.
