OAUTHC Holds 2025 Matriculation Ceremony for School of Health Information Management Students

The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) has officially welcomed a new cohort of students into its School of Health Information Management at the 2025 Matriculation Ceremony held recently.


The event was graced by the Chief Medical Director – Prof John Okeniyi, represented by the Dental Centre Physician-in-Charge, Dr. Elijah Oyetola, who delivered an inspiring address to the new students.

He emphasized the importance of health information management in modern healthcare and encouraged the matriculants to be diligent in their studies.


The Acting Head of School, Mr. Akingbola Omokanye, also addressed the students, urging them to uphold excellence and integrity in their academic journey. As a symbolic gesture, he officially handed over the matriculants to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of OAUTHC, marking their formal induction into the institution.

The ceremony peaked with the administration of oaths, a significant moment that underscored the students’ commitment to their studies and future profession.
The event was memorable and inspiring, reaffirming OAUTHC’s dedication to training skilled professionals in health information management, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and expertise to contribute meaningfully to the healthcare sector.
