The Centre for Ethics and Self-Value Orientation (CESVO) has decorated and honoured nurses at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, for their exemplary ethical conduct and professionalism.
The award ceremony, held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Nightingale Hall, recognized nurses who have distinguished themselves in service to humanity.
Speaking at the event, CESVO’s Executive Director, Prince Salih Musa Yakubu, said the non-governmental organization was impressed by how OAUTHC manages its affairs, particularly in identifying individuals and associations that uphold high ethical standards.
According to him, “We carried out an underground assessment of the nurses at OAUTHC, especially the Nigerian Association of Nurses and Midwives (NANM), OAUTHC chapter, and discovered outstanding examples of integrity and professionalism worthy of recognition.”
One of the awardees, Comrade Oyeniyi Olayode Lawrence, Chairman of the OAUTHC NANM Central Executive, received the CESVO Ambassadorial Award. He expressed gratitude to the organization, noting that the recognition was a collective achievement of the unit heads, sectional heads, and all nurses in OAUTHC.

Similarly, the Director of Nursing Services, Mrs. Olabisi Ajayi, had earlier been honoured by CESVO for her commitment to excellence and ethical leadership.
Other recipients included the Unit NANM Chairman, Wesley Guild Hospital, Comrade Oluwaseun Ajayi; former Unit Chairman, NANM, Comrade J.V.
