In his tradition of celebrating the New Year with acts of kindness, former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Otunba (Dr) Iyiola Omisore, extended his generosity to patients at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife. On January 1, 2025, the former Senator cleared the medical bills of nine indigent patients and distributed food and gift items to brighten their spirits.

Otunba Omisore, a renowned philanthropist, praised the hospital for its dedication to quality healthcare delivery.

He emphasized the importance of health to humanity, explaining that his decision to support the hospital was both deliberate and necessary.

Reaffirming his commitment to the progress of the hospital, he promised to actively participate in the upcoming 50th anniversary celebrations of OAUTHC.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. John Okeniyi, expressed profound gratitude for Senator Omisore’s consistent support. “Patients eagerly anticipate this annual gesture, which they consider nothing short of miraculous,” he said.
