Nursing Unit Holds Seminar for Health Attendants and Nurses

The Nursing Unit of Phase IV B of the hospital organized a training workshop for the newly employed nurses and health attendants in the Unit on 22nd February 2023.

In her welcome address, the Unit Head and Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Mrs. Elizabeth Babalola, appreciated the management of the hospital for approving the training. She further spoke on the duties and job descriptions of nurses and health attendants and gave a practical demonstration on how to clean the wards and make them hygienic for patients.

Mrs. Uche Nwogu, a Deputy Director of Nursing Services, and Mr. Demilade Omotoyinbo, a Senior Nursing Officer, emphasized the need to understand professional ethics and the need to prioritize patients while handling their duties.

Mrs. Funmilayo Ojo, a Deputy Director of Nursing Services, and another nurse from the Orthopaedic Unit, Mr. Fisayo Aremu, explained the universal precautions to take in the segregation and disposal of waste.

Also in attendance at the seminar were the Nursing Auditor, Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Mrs. Oluyemi Olabayode, and Mr. Olumide Ogundele who represented the HOD of the Environmental Health Department, Mr. Ezekiel Adejuwon.
