The Internal Security Department of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, treated Mr. Moses Oladosu to a meritorious birthday celebration, retirement and pulling-out parade at the hospital’s complex, having reached the statutory retirement age.

The event attracted guests from all works of life within the hospital, from both clinical and non-clinical departments, serving as a testament to his outstanding and selfless service to the entire hospital system.
In his opening address, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. John A. Okeniyi, lauded the efforts and commitment of the celebrant and expressed his desire that, if he had the opportunity, he would have wished for an extended period of service for the retiring Head of Department. He further commended the Security Department, acknowledging that one of the biggest challenges facing Nigeria today is insecurity.

He recalled that among the first three assignments he had to address as Chief Medical Director was the security system at OAUTHC, which, he noted, would not have been accomplished without the commitment, dedication and sleepless nights of Mr. Oladosu.
He stressed that Mr. Oladosu served diligently and selflessly, particularly at a time he described as “when the going was tough,” and admonished all staff to emulate the celebrant’s impeccable character in the discharge of their duties.

In his response, Mr. Oladosu thanked the Management for the privilege to serve and for creating an enabling environment that allowed him to fully discharge his duties in the service of humanity. He reflected on his three years of working with the CMD and admonished members of the department to be up and doing, be time-conscious, prioritise integrity, and always give their best at every given opportunity.

The event was capped with the lowering and hoisting of flags, presentation of gifts, and the official handing over to a new Head of Department and Chief Security Officer, Mr. Ademola Aderemi, before the parade was officially dismissed.

In attendance were the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Prof. Josephine Eziyi; Director of Administration, Dr. Ayodeji Bobade; Director, Internal Audit, Mr. Adewale Junaid; Director, Procurement, Mr. Abiodun Eluyemi; Head, Finance and Accounts, Mr. Moshood Osunmuyiwa, and Head, Human Resource, Mrs. Boladale Owotade.
