The management of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) hosted its inaugural end-of-year Christmas celebration with the institution’s Directors on Monday, December 23, 2024. The gathering, held in the hospital boardroom, provided an atmosphere of relaxation and reflection, recognizing the collective efforts and accomplishments of the leadership team over the past year.
In his opening address, the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Professor John Okeniyi, commended the Directors for their steadfast dedication and invaluable contributions to OAUTHC’s successes in 2024.
He emphasized that discipline, hard work, and recognizing staff achievements are crucial for sustaining motivation and driving continued progress. Professor Okeniyi reaffirmed management’s openness to innovative ideas, underscoring the importance of fostering growth and institutional development.
Responding on behalf of the Directors, Mr. Waheed Lamidi, Director of Radiology and Chairman of the Hospital’s Forum of Directors, expressed gratitude to the CMD for his exemplary leadership and unwavering support. He acknowledged the spirit of collaboration that had propelled the institution’s achievements, attributing much of the year’s progress to effective teamwork and shared vision.
