The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, officially unveiled a new uniform for its Internal Security Unit in a ceremony held at the Mini Auditorium Car Park of the hospital.

The event attracted members of the hospital management and unit administrators who gathered to witness the unveiling and decoration of security personnel in the new attire.

In his opening remarks, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. John Okeniyi, described the unveiling of the new uniform as a significant milestone aimed at strengthening the identity and corporate image of the Internal Security Unit. He noted that the initiative would further reinforce the unit’s vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, students, and visitors across the hospital complex. He also explains that it reflects the unit’s commitment to professionalism, discipline, efficiency, and excellence in service delivery.

Prof. Okeniyi commended the Chief Security Officer and Head of the Internal Security Unit, Mr. Moses Oladosu, for his dedication and commitment in transforming the vision into reality. He praised his leadership and efforts in driving initiatives that continue to improve the operations and professionalism of the unit.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the official presentation of the new uniform and the decoration of officers, symbolizing the commencement of a new era for the Internal Security Unit.
