Official Statement from the Office of the Chief Medical Director, OAUTHC, Ile-Ife on the Occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid
Dear Colleagues and Members of the OAUTHC Community,
As we celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid, I extend my heartfelt greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters within the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex. This occasion, which marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is a time for reflection, gratitude, and unity.
The Federal Government has declared Monday, September 16, 2024, as a public holiday to honor this significant event. I encourage everyone to use this period to pray for enduring peace, prosperity, and the continued progress of our nation.
In the spirit of Eid-ul-Mawlid, let us embrace the values of patience, sacrifice, and resilience. These principles are not only central to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) but also essential to our daily work and interactions within the hospital community.
To our dedicated staff, I thank you for your unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients. Your hard work and dedication are deeply appreciated, especially during times of celebration and reflection.
May this Eid-ul-Mawlid bring joy, peace, and blessings to you and your families. Let us strive to work together in harmony and mutual respect, fostering an environment of peace, development and compassion.
Wishing us all a blessed and peaceful Eid-ul-Mawlid.
Warm regards,
Professor John A.O. Okeniyi,
Chief Medical Director
